Other drivers have taken formula cars and converted them to DSR, by changing their power source and installing a sports racer body to cover the wheels. Some have taken a sports racer from a different class and "simply" changed the engine to one allowed by the DSR class rules.

This being the case, DSR presents a large variety of cars in the races in which the class runs.
